World Architecture Day 2014 : Healthy Cities, Happy Cities




Dear Uap Makati Cbd Members,

In Celebration of World Architecture Day 2014 and in preparation for our 31st Chapter Anniversary, May we request you to join us in this wonderful event!

We will be conducting an On the Spot Painting Contest. Be the lucky winners and have your work be the cover page and back cover page of our Souvenir Program.

 WORLD ARCHITECTURE DAY 2014
HEALTHY CITIES, HAPPY CITIES

Contest guidelines:

1. The painting contest is open to:

       a. Regular members of UAP Makati CBD Chapter.

      
b. With a Good Standing status with UAP and UAP Makati CBD Chapter.

      
c. Paid his IAPOA for FY 2014-2015

2. The painting contest will be an open media that will focus on world architecture day theme, Healthy Cities, Happy Cities.

3. The entries for the painting contest can either be oil – based medium on canvas or water media on paper or any type of paint media, with sizes of canvas ranging from 18” x 24”.

4. They are required to have a written brief description about their art work.

5. Participants are expected to bring their own painting materials such as oil or acrylic paint and painting tools and canvass.

6. Participants are required to be in the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the contest for final registration and briefing. They will be given two (2) hours to complete their painting. An official time keeper will start and end the contest. He / she will also signal when the last 15 minutes is reached.

7. Late comers up to a maximum of 30minutes will be allowed to join. However, no time extension will be given to them.

8. Coaches will be allowed only five minutes to be with the painters right after the contest has been declared open, after which, they will be limited from coming close to the participants throughout the contest proper.

9. The criteria for judging are as follows:
      
a. Composition and Visual Impact -–40%

      
b. Relevance to the theme – 20%

      
c. Technique – 20%

      
d. Creativity – 20%

10. All contestants must register to Ar. Sophia R. Avendano and or Ar. Norvim C. Mallari prior to the competition.

11. Judges will be selected for the contest, coming from our Council of Past Presidents and Regional District B3.

12. Announcement of winners will be done immediately after the contest proper.

13. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and unappealable. All entries will become the property of the UAP-Makati CBD.

Prizes:

1st Prize
• Will be the cover page of our souvenir program for 31st Anniversary and Christmas Party
• Will have a 4 Free Assessment Fee
• Will received a recognition certificate and token
2nd Prize
• Will be the Last page cover page for our souvenir program for 31st Anniversary and Christmas Party
• Will have a 3 Free Assessment Fee
• Will receive a recognition certificate and token
8 Consolation Prizes
• Works will be published for our souvenir program for 31st anniversary and Christmas party
• Will receive a recognition certificate and token
• Will have 1 Free Assessment Fee


Please confirm on or before October 03, Friday, so we can inform the venue of the number of people attending. This is very important so we don't run out of food, nor of chairs.
